On the other hand, with a timing of 15:10.69, Parul Chaudhary placed sixth in the women’s 5000-metre event. Ankita, a fellow citizen, almost missed setting her own national record with a timing of 15:28.88, finishing in 10th place.
If we talk about the other category, Sable finished second in the men’s 5000m, clocking in at 13:20.37, rather than racing in his favourite 3000m steeplechase competition. In the same event, Gulveer Singh finished third in 13:31.95.
The national record for Sable’s 5000 metres is 13:19.30. In the men’s 10000m, Kartik Kumar finished in second position despite running the final loop in 62 seconds. With a time of 28:07.66s.
Who is KM Deeksha?
25 year old KM Deeksha is Indian track and field athlete from Madhya Pradesh. She has trained at the MP Athletics academy for the past five years under coach S K Prasad.
Her previous best was 4:06.07, which she set when she defeated Bains to win the gold in the 2023 National Inter-State Athletics Championship final at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar.
