Although it took Vaibhav 58 deliveries to reach his century, it was the second-fastest century in U19 Test cricket history overall. Moeen Ali, an English cricket player, continues to hold the record. The record was set by Moeen in 2005 when he reached a century off of 56 deliveries.
With his century, Vaibhav Suryavanshi broke the record held by Bangladeshi skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto, who was the youngest player to score a century in world cricket. In 2013, Shanto got a century in an ODI match against Sri Lanka U19 at the age of just 14 years and 241 days. And the third youngest is Babar Azam.
