Journalist Preeti Choudhry of India Today recently opened up about her concern over the creation of a fake Instagram account using her identity. The journalist warned her followers on the X platform, formerly known as Twitter (@PreetiChoudhry), about the imposter and advised them to exercise caution.

Choudhry brought attention to the fact that an impostor using the handle @preetizchoudhizchoudhry pretends to be her. According to reports, the fake account mimics Choudhry’s page to trick fans. The reporter clarified in her tweet that “preetizchoudhry” is still her genuine Instagram username on the platform.
She marked the account as “fake” and included a link to the dubious profile to highlight how phony it was. Along with the screenshot of the fake account in her post, she wrote,
