Imtiyaz Jaleel’s Family And Education
Imtiyaz Jaleel is married to Roomi Fatima Jaleel. He was born to Zakiya Jaleel and Syed Abdul Jaleel. Imtiyaz was elected as a member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly from the Aurangabad Central constituency of Maharashtra in the Assembly Election of 2014. He is also currently the state president of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen in Maharashtra.
Imitiyazf finished both his Master of Business Administration in 1996 and Master of Mass Communication and Journalism in 2000 from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University. He has a total of 23 years of experience in journalism. He has 11 years with Lokmat and nearly 12 years with NDTV and later on, he entered politics in 2014.
Imitiyaz Jaleel Professional Career
On October 14th, 2017, Imtiyaz Jaleel had filed public interest litigation (PIL) before the Aurangabad bench of Bombay high court, seeking the direction of the state government to allot seven acres of land. He filed this petition to build a 200-bed hospital for women and children present there.
On March 26th of 2019, MIM decided to make a contest at the Aurangabad Lok Sabha seat in Maharashtra, India in alliance with the Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi led by Prakash Ambedkar. MIM President, Mr. Asaduddin Owaisi has picked Imtiyaz, as the party candidate. The election commission of India (EC) announced the schedule for the Lok Sabha elections in 2019.
MIM decided to support the Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi formed by Mr. Prakash Ambedkar. MLA Imitiyaz Jaleel decided to contest the election and the MIM president Owaisi was reluctant with his decision but the MIM leaders succeeded in convincing him. Mr. Jaleel did meticulous planning in just 28 days for this.
