The incidents happened when Imran Khan was attending a rally near Allahwala Chowk.
As per reports, the former PM was leading a rally from Lahore towards the capital in attempt to retake his office after he was ousted in April, this year.
The Chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf started the campaign last week on Friday. As per a report by News 18, Imran was shot multiple times in his leg.
He was shot around 3 to 4 times, along with former PM there were others who sustained injuries.
Though one of the attackers was killed in the aftermath, another was captured and handed over to the police.
Now a video of the incident is making rounds on the internet showing that a youth worker of PTI is tackling one of the attackers from behind in order to grab his gun.
The youth is now identified as Ibtisam Hassan. After watching his heroic act, many want to know more about him, so here’s all the details that you might need to know.
Who is Ibtisam Hassan?
Ibtisam is a PTI youth worker, who handled the situation after he tackled one of the shooters who attempted to assassinate the former Pakistani PM.
As per reports, the shooting incident left 9 people injured while one dead. The incident could have been worse, however, Hassan helped to reduce the damage.
Ever since then, he has been receiving a lot of praise on social media for showing courage and has been named as “saviour.”
After the incidents, Ibtisam told the reporters that, “The accused opened fire at the container. I was with the view that he [accused] was carrying an automatic pistol.
“When I trapped the accused, one person already received the bullet.”

He reportedly rushed towards him the moment he saw him loading the gun.
In an interview with media outlets, Ibtisam revealed that it would be “tragic” if something happened to the former PM in ‘his area.’
He even went on to say that, if something would have happened then they, “all would have been ashamed.”
