Who Is Iam Tongi?
William Tongi comes from a family of six members and was born to Rodney and Lille Tongi. He has a brother, Lerod, and two sisters, Cassandra Alvina and Leilei Tongi.
Rodney Tongi, the father of Iam Tongi passed away from stage 4 kidney disease, which he was diagnosed with in 2022, had been challenging. Despite undergoing dialysis treatment, his health continued to decline and he peacefully passed away in his sleep at home.
Iam has a net worth of $800,000.
The 18-year-old hails from Hawaii and went to Kahuku High and Intermediate School. Currently, he is a senior at Washington’s Decatur High School.
In the competition, Iam Tongi and Keith Urban sang “Making Memories of Us.” The American Idol winner remarked after the show that his late father used to play Urban’s music when he was a kid.
