People’s curiosity was heightened after a web sleuth published a video purporting to show Goncalves with a man who has “zip ties on his wrists.” This individual is widely believed to be Hunter Johnson.
Since news of the murders spread, online “investigators” have started putting up increasingly outlandish and unsubstantiated theories. The internet user claimed that Johnson, had been seen at the victims’ house on multiple occasions.

The user @LostSoulsTC shared a similar tweet and video on both platforms. Someone’s tweet read, “Kaylee seems to have something hanging from under her dress, and the man with the ziplocks on his wrists seems to have a strange obsession with them. According to the 9-1-1 police camera, his name is Hunter. #Idaho4 Thanks to the honesty and openness of the situation.”

A police body camera was used to record the footage. After receiving a noise complaint from their neighbours, the police officer in the alleged video visits the residence of the victims to issue a warning. While Goncalves is talking to him, another man, who the Twitter user identified as Johnson, sits on a couch next to her with “tight zip ties” on his wrists.

Someone at the party inquired as to the purpose of the zip ties. Later, the same individual revealed even more information about this man and commented, “One of my friends took pictures of the guy in his home and forwarded them to me. Hunter Johnson is Emily’s boyfriend. Bethany might have a twin in Emily. This is the cutest thing ever. #Idaho4 ”
One of the users on that topic got back to the original poster and said “#Idaho4 There are now more satisfactory explanations for the many concerns raised. There were several things I failed to realise….” The user included a pair of photos. one of which defines “ziptie”. And the other of which is a snapshot of the conversation that reveals Johnson’s details. Many of these speculations, as is customary, lack any foundation in the ongoing investigation and should be regarded with a grain of salt.
What Is The Idaho Murder Case?
Four University of Idaho students were brutally murdered in their own home beginning in December. The victims were identified as Xana Kernodle, 20; Madison Mogen, 21; Kaylee Goncalves, 21; and Etham Chapin, 20.
The women above shared the residence. The murder weapon has yet to be located, and no suspects have been identified. According to reports, they were stabbed while asleep. The lack of cameras in their immediate surroundings complicates the search for a solution.
