Hendon Hooker family
He is the son of Wendy Hooker and Hall of Fame quarterback Alan Hooker from North Carolina A&T.
Hooker has two siblings: his younger brother Alston, a quarterback for North Carolina A&T, and his elder sister Nile, who has assisted Hooker with managing his social media presence and NIL partnerships.

He took a full year off before making his college debut as a redshirt freshman in 2019. He decided to transfer to Tennessee for his final two years of eligibility following two inconsistent seasons in Blacksburg.
When he began his first season with the Volunteers, Joe Milton was his main rival, however, Milton’s injury in the first game of the 2021 season propelled him into the starting lineup.
His final season at college was unquestionably his best. He contributed to Tennessee’s remarkable 6-0 start by throwing for 385 yards and 5 touchdowns in a thrilling 52-49 victory over No. 3 Alabama.
The team reached the top of the rankings before a loss to Georgia in November.
As the season came to a close, Hooker was one of the top Heisman Trophy contenders.
Tragically, he tore his ACL in the fourth quarter of a rout against South Carolina. As a result, his undergraduate career came to an abrupt end, leaving many to wonder what he would do next.
Despite the injuries, he defeated Young for the SEC Offensive Player of the Year award and finished fifth in the Heisman voting.
