Haryana state government bans several Masoom Sharma songs
The Haryana state government has banned three of Masoom Sharma’s songs — Tution Badmashi Ka, 60 Mukadme, and Khatoa. According to official reports, the government has carried out the ban with the claim that these tracks promoted “gun culture”. However, Masoom has opposed the ban and called it unfair and discriminatory.
During a Facebook Live session, he accused that the ban stemmed from a Haryana government official targeting him due to an old rivalry. Masoom claimed the official, who now holds a senior position, acted with the ban out of personal spite. He further alleged that the same official canceled singer KD Danoda’s performance at the Surajkund Mela. He also defended his music, stating that the same Haryana government has ignored artists promoting obscenity under the name of folk music.
