The decision was made following a protracted inquiry in which the issue involving Miami guards and team supporter John Ruiz was the focus of attention for the popular 22-year-old twins Hanna and Haley Cavinder.
The Cavinder sisters addressed the NCAA directly on Saturday in reaction to the historic decision. Taking to Twitter, Haley Cavinder shared a video and wrote,

Who is Haley Cavinder?
Haley Cavinder is a well-known American social media personality and college basketball player. She has been in the news because Miami and the NCAA have agreed to penalize her and her sister’s recruitment.
She was born on January 13, 2001, in South Bend, Indiana. His father’s name is Tom Cavinder, who is also a basketball player, and his mother’s name is Katie Cavinder. She also has four sisters named Brooke, Brandi, Natalie, and Hanna. Hanna is her twin sister.
She did her schooling at Gilbert High School in Gilbert, Arizona. Later, she attended Fresno State University.
She is currently 5 feet 6 inches or 1.68 meters. She is currently 22 years old.
Her career
Haley Cavinder started her basketball career by playing for Gilbert High School in Arizona. She was crucial in getting her team to the state semifinals in both her junior and senior seasons, as well as the championship game in the latter.
Later, she enrolled at Fresno State University, continuing her remarkable basketball career there. She was selected as the Mountain West Freshman of the Year during her first season, which saw her set freshman records for points and rebounds at Fresno State.
She scored 1,000 points in her career in her sophomore season, which is the quickest in Fresno State history. She was also named the third sophomore to earn the Mountain West Player of the Year title.
Haley Cavinder maintained her impressive play in her junior season, leading the Bulldogs in scoring, grabbing rebounds, and dishing out assists while also breaking the Division I single-season free throw percentage record. She also recorded three triple-doubles, which is a Fresno State player record, and was chosen for the third consecutive season as an All-Mountain West performer.
She later began representing the Miami Hurricanes in 2022. Haley Cavinder is in a long-term relationship with her boyfriend, Carson Towt.
