A career in US soccer for Haji Wright
Wright, one of the most promising young Americans, has had difficulty adjusting to life in Europe. The attacker, who graduated from the LA Galaxy youth school, was unstoppable for his nation’s under-17 team in 2014, with 18 goals in 22 games.
He quickly attracted attention in Europe and travelled across the ocean to join the Schalke 04 development system. It took Wright until 2022 to properly find his feet after he spent four years floating about northern Europe. That was back in 2017. Clubs of Haji Wright
Since leaving North America, Wright has played for five different clubs in the five years he has been abroad, unable to find a place where his talent could flourish.
After achieving success with Sonderjyske in the Danish league, the striker was promptly signed on loan by the Turkish team Antalyaspor. Wright’s 2021–22 campaign there earned him a three-year contract that was permanent, and things have only been better for him since.
