Arion Kurtaj, a teenage kid from London, was identified as the hacker a few days after it was first suspected.
As soon as the incident occurred, Rockstar Games and its parent company, Take-Two Interactive, filed a lawsuit. As a result, further heinous crimes perpetrated by the hacker were found. The London court currently has jurisdiction over Arion Kurtaj, who is presently awaiting trial.
Arion Kurtaj allegedly threatened Rockstar Games staff members with disclosing the game’s source codes in addition to hacking the company’s servers and releasing GTA 6 gameplay videos, according to the prosecution.

The teen who goes by the name White, was born on February 19, 2005 and named Arion K and is alleged to have amassed a $14 million (£10.6 million) fortune from his group’s hacking spree, has been arrested alongside six other teens in an alleged connection with the Lapsus$ group.

When he joined the Lapsus$ hacking group, which is suspected of leaking the GTA 6 clips, Arion Kurtaj was 17 years old. Despite not being accused of hacking Rockstar Games, Arion was joined by a 17-year-old who is still unnamed and who has been charged with three computer-related offences, two counts of extortion, and two counts of fraud.
According to Reuters, the adolescent has been “assessed by psychiatrists as unfit to stand trial,” and the jury will judge whether or not Kurtaj committed the crimes rather than whether or not they are guilty.

Twelve offences, including six counts of computer abuse, two instances of fraud, and three counts of extortion, have been prosecuted against the hacker.
Kurtaj was not named at the time, but Uber later disclosed in a blog post that it was investigating its own data breaches with the FBI and the US Department of Justice and that it believed the same hacker was also responsible for the Rockstar breaches.
Although the release of GTA 6 is unknown, it might happen as soon as next year. While a jury will attempt to determine whether Kurtaj is accountable for the alleged hacking, we are unsure whether a verdict will be rendered.
