Frederick Richard career
In 2019, Frederick Richard participated in his first-ever elite-level National Championships. While taking home bronze in the floor exercise, he trailed only by Nick Kuebler and Khoi Young in the all-around rankings. It was his first time being added to the junior national team.
Richard competed once more in 2021, winning the junior all-around title at the National Championships. He was selected for the Junior Pan American Championships team to compete on. During that time, he won gold in the vault, horizontal bar, and all-around events, and he also assisted the United States in winning gold as a team. He also took home silver in the floor exercise and bronze in the rings.
Frederick Richard helped Michigan place second in the team competition at the 2024 NCAA Men’s Gymnastics Championship by finishing second in the still rings with a score of 14.400 and second in the all-around with a score of 83.999. Richard came in second to Brody Malone in the all-around at the 2024 National Championships.
Richard joined the Michigan Wolverines as a player in the 2022โ2023 year. He was chosen to compete for the United States in the DTB Pokal Team Challenge with Shane Wiskus, Yul Moldauer, Asher Hong, and Brody Malone. As a team, they won first place.
