Brody has one sister and two brothers. Because Malone was an extremely active youngster, his parents enrolled him in gymnastics at the age of three.
Malone’s stepmother passed away in 2019 from a brain aneurysm, and his mother passed away from cancer in 2012. Malone received a management science and engineering degree from Stanford University. Malone announced his engagement to Serena Ortiz, his longtime girlfriend, on December 31, 2023.

Brody Malone career
Brody Malone began competing for the Stanford Cardinal gymnastics team in 2019. At the NCAA National Championships, Malone helped Stanford win the team title and the individual titles for all-around, floor exercise, and horizontal bar.
In early 2020, Malone competed at the Winter Cup, finishing third in the all-around. The NCAA season was cut short due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Malone returned to competition at the 2021 NCAA Championships, helping Stanford defend their team title.
Malone competed at the Junior Olympic level, placing seventh at the 2015 National Championships. At the 2017 Junior Olympic National Championships, Malone won silver in the all-around behind Bennet Huang.
Malone participated in the Cottbus World Cup in February, making it to the finals of the pommel horse, rings, parallel bars, and horizontal bar events. The Nissen Emery Award, the greatest prize in collegiate men’s gymnastics, was given to Malone.
Malone supported Stanford in their national title defence during the NCAA Championship. In addition, he won bronze in the floor exercise, co-won gold in the pommel horse, maintained his high bar championship, and finished second in the all-around behind Paul Juda despite a poor parallel bar’s routine.
Malone qualified for the all-around and horizontal bar finals at the 2022 World Championships. He scored points on every apparatus during the team final, helping the USA take fifth. Malone was chosen to compete for the United States against Yul Moldauer, Asher Hong, Fred Richard, and Shane Wiskus at the DTB Pokal Team Challenge in March 2023.
As a team, they took first place, and Malone advanced to the high bar final on his own. Malone hurt his knee dismounting from the high bar during the event finals, necessitating surgery at a nearby hospital to insert an external fixator.
