Grant Bradburn, a former New Zealand cricketer, has been named the team’s head coach for the Babar Azam-led Pakistan squad. Before transitioning to teaching, 56-year-old Bradburn played for New Zealand in 11 ODIs and 7 Tests.
Grant is a New Zealand cricket coach and former cricketer. A tall right-arm off-spin bowler and lower-order batsman, Bradburn played seven Test matches and eleven One Day Internationals between 1990 and 2001 and also played domestically for Northern Districts for 16 seasons.

Andrew Puttick, a former cricketer for South Africa, has been named the team’s batting coach. The Proteas’ opening wicketkeeper-batter from South Africa has only played one ODI, but he has extensive experience from playing in 172 List A games and 173 First Class matches. He has also participated in 83 T20 matches.
Official statement
Mr Bradburn and Mr Puttick have been appointed for the New Zealand series and will arrive in Lahore on April 11, according to a release from PCB. The statement continued by saying that after the requisite recruitment processes, which are currently continuing, are finished, the board will confirm the management of the Pakistan squad for the post-New Zealand series.

After former cricketer Saqlain Mushtaq’s contract expired in February, the post of Pakistan’s head coach became available. During the three T20I matches against Afghanistan last month, the PCB hired Abdul Rahman as the coach. He will now support the head coach in that capacity.
Between 2018 and 2020, Bradburn, the former head coach of Scotland, served as the fielding coach for the Pakistan national men’s cricket team. After the New Zealand series, Mickey Arthur, a former Pakistani team director, will take over as team director, according to local media reports.
