Indian golfer Diksha Dagar, alongside her father and caddie Col Naren Dagar, her mother as well as her brother were all involved in a tragic car crash. The family was out on Tuesday night, returning from a function at India House when another vehicle hit them. Their car was crossing the street when the light turned and there was an ambulance on the side. Sadly, the driver did not see the second car which was on the other side of the ambulance and hit them from the side.
Luckily for Diksha, she escaped unharmed and will play in her event as per schedule from August 7. However, Dikshaโs mother suffered injuries to her spinal area and has been hospitalised. She will reportedly remain hospitalised for the coming days and undergo treatment.

Diksha Dagar is an Indian professional golfer who was born on December 14, 2000 in Jhajjar, Haryana. Notably, Dagar is deaf and gained prominence after becoming the leading amateur ladiesโ golfer in India from November 2015. Diksha started wearing hearing aids at the age of six but and started playing golf aged seven.
She started off playing golf alongside her brother Yogesh Dagar, who is also deaf. The duo started out getting coaching under their father Col Narinder Dagar, who is a former scratch golfer and serves in the Army.
She has a net worth of $500,000-1 million with her current world ranking at 164.

Diksha Dagar is currently 23 years old and stands at a height of 5 ft 9 in (175 cm).
Career and achievements
Diksha Dagar started out playing golf as a left-hander in the amateur level back in 2012. She won her debut professional event at the Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour in 2017. She represented India at the 2017 Summer Deaflympics and secured a silver in the womenโs individual golf event. Diksha also represented India at the 2018 Asian Games and after playing several competitions at the amateur level, finally turned professional in 2019.
That same year, she became the second Indian female golfer after Aditi Ashok to win on the Ladies European Tour. She also became the youngest Indian woman to do so at the young age of 18. Diksha Dagar then got the chance to compete in the womenโs individual event at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Following which she became the first golfer ever in history to have competed in both the Olympics and Deaflympics.
Aside from her on-field achievements, Diksha received the Arjuna Award for the year 2023.The Indian Golf Union had previously nominated her as a candidate for the Arjuna Award in 2020.
