Joan Garcia Pons is a professional football player who was born on May 4, 2001, in Sallent, Spain. He started out playing football at the young age of four and initially played as an outfield player. However, he made the switch to goalkeeping thanks to his older brother’s influence. Garcia eventually rose through the youth ranks of CE Sallent, Manresa, and Damm before joining the Espanyol academy in 2016. Garcia notably made his senior debut in 2019 and has since steadily progressed to become Espanyol’s first-choice keeper.
