Oakland Athletics play-by-play announcer Glen Kuiper made a horrible error recently during a live pregame presentation.
Kuiper accidentally uttered a racist slur when describing several well-known attractions in Kansas City, Missouri, referring to the Negro Leagues Museum with the N-word. The event happened during the A’s’ road game against the Kansas City Royals, which was broadcast on NBC Sports California.
Following the commercial break, Kuiper expressed regret for his error of judgment and made it clear that he had not intended to utter what had come out of his lips. He stated:
I said something that didn’t come out quite the way I wanted it to. I just wanted to apologize if it sounded different than I meant it to be said. I just wanted to apologize for that.

His full name is Glen Alan Kuiper. He was born on May 20, 1963, in Racine, Wisconsin, U.S. In his family, he has an elder brother named Duane Kuiper, who is a former Major League player and current broadcaster for the San Francisco Giants. However, not much is known about his family or background.
After completing his schooling, Glen Kuiper graduated from San Francisco State University with a degree in broadcasting.

In 2004, he began making appearances as an on-field journalist and replacement announcer on A’s TV broadcasts. He had taken over as the main announcer by 2006. On occasion, he serves as the TV play-by-play announcer for Fox’s nationwide broadcasts of American League games.
From 1996 to 2000, Glen Kuiper hosted “Giants Lite” and “A’s Lite” on SportsChannel Pacific and FSN Bay Area.
