Giuliano Simeone is an Argentine professional footballer who was born on December 18, 2002, in Rome, Italy. He was born to parents, Diego Simeone, and Carolina Baldini. Giuliano mainly plays as a forward for La Liga club Atlético Madrid, and for Argentina at the youth international level. Giuliano was born in Rome when his father Diego was playing for Lazio.
He has two older siblings named Giovanni (29) and Gianluca (26), who are both footballers. Giuliano also has two younger half-sisters named Francesca (8) and Valentina (5) from his father’s relationship with former model and businesswoman Carla Pereyra. Giuliano Simeone started out his football journey with the River Plate youth set-up before moving back to Spain to join Atletico Madrid. He made his senior debut with the Atletico B-team on January 17, 2021, scoring the opener in a 1–1 draw against UD Poblense in the Segunda División B. He went on to score three more goals in the season, before suffering a team relegation.
Simeone then spent the 2021 pre-season with the first team, before returning to the B side in the Tercera División RFEF. He eventually went on to make a debut with the senior Atlético Madrid side on April 20, 2022, against Granada. The following season, Simeone got loaned out to Real Zaragoza, where he scored his first professional goal two months later. He eventually renewed his contract with Atletico on July 21, 2023, until 2028 and joined Deportivo Alavés on loan.
On the International stage, Simeone got selected to represent Argentina at the 2024 Summer Olympics. During the opening match against Morocco, he scored a goal, despite losing 2-1. Just last year, in August, Simeone suffered a serious injury, where he fractured his fibula and dislocated his ankle.
