The FIFA president, after outlining the issues facing Qatar, added,

Who Is Gianni Infantino?
Gianni Infantino is a well-known Swiss-Italian football administrator and has been well-known for being the current president of FIFA. He has been in the news because he recently criticized western media for discriminating against the Qatar World Cup.
His full name is Giovanni Vincenzo Infantino. He was born in Brig, Switzerland, on March 23, 1970. His parents are Italian immigrants from Lombardy and Calabria. He holds both Swiss and Italian citizenship.
Gianni Infantino attended the University of Fribourg to study law. He speaks English, Portuguese, Arabic, Italian, Spanish, French, and German with ease.
He was married to Leena Al Ashqar, a Lebanese woman. They have four kids together.

In August 2000, Gianni Infantino began his job with UEFA. He was named Director of the Legal Affairs and Club Licensing Division of UEFA four years later. He was appointed the UEFA’s deputy general secretary in 2007 and the organization’s secretary general in 2009.
