During the recently concluded 2023 NBA draft, Seth Lundy joined the Atlanta Hawks as the 46th overall pick of the second round. The 23-year-old is a dynamic guard from New Jersey, who played a key role in the Penn State offense during his time in college.
Lundy spent four years at Penn State, where he finished off with an outstanding senior season. The NBA prospect averaged 14.2 points, 6.3 rebounds, and a strong .400 three-point shooting percentage in his senior year.

While the announcement for a player for the Atlanta Hawks was in the works, Seth had his family and friends around him at the Empire Sports Bar in Brooklawn, New Jersey. The group were patiently waiting for the results. Then at the stroke of 12 Lundy’s phone rang with the call he had been looking forward to.
Once the announcer made the announcement, “With the 46th pick in the 2023 NBA draft Seth Lundy!”, the whole room cheered in joy. People cheered and congratulated Seth and one happy camper among them was his father, Gerald Lundy. According to a tweet, Gerald might have even faked an arm injury to get off work and watch his son.
In a viral clip, viewers can see Gerald rejoicing, while clapping his hands and kissing his son’s cheek. However, he also appears to wince at the end of the clip, holding his injured hand. All the while, Seth’s mother, Martina Lundy, is also present by their side.
