Cumbria-based man Gary McKee who vowed to complete a marathon everyday in 2022 on Saturday, December 31, has bid to raise £1 million for charity, know his age
As per reports, the 53-year-old began his challenge on January 1st. The donation which was raised from bid will be donated between Macmillan Cancer Support and West Cumbria Hospice at Home.

For those who are unversed, let us tell you, as of now Gary has run for 9,563 miles this year. As per a report by BBC, the marathon runner has gone through more than 20 Pairs of trainers and has raised over £800,000.
Who is Gary McKee?
For those who are to know more about Gary McKee, let us tell you, the runner hails from northwest England. Gary McKee aged 53 is from Cleator Moor in Cumbria.
Gary is a father of three children. Earlier, before starting work at the Sellafield nuclear site, he used to run a 26.2-mile which is around 42km route.
At the start line of his first marathon, Gary opened up to the BBC breakfast that he has received “phenomenal,” support and he was “a little nervous.”
He further added, “It’s not the distance, it’s because it’s the last one. It’ll be a special day. Cancer affects everybody so it isn’t just a West Cumbrian thing, it’s a national thing.
“I just hope that people do get behind us and we do raise that million pounds. If we don’t, it won’t be because I haven’t run 365 marathons. We’ll celebrate the day, have a good laugh on the route and I’m looking forward to finishing.”
After completing the mission of raising £1 million in aid of charities, Gary took to Twitter and revealed that he has fulfilled the goal.
McKee began his mission at around 08:30 GMT and he finished the run at about 14:00 GMT in front of a fireworks display.
Post-run, he shared the good news with fans and followers as he expressed, “he streets were lined. It was raining, but everybody was out clapping and shouting.
“It was fantastic seeing everybody there. It’s something I’ll always remember.”
