Vedant Agarwalโs grandfather, Surendra Agarwal, is accused of intimidating and pressuring the driver Gangaram into accepting responsibility for the collision when he crashed his Porsche into two persons riding bikes in Pune
Surendra Agarwal, the 17-year-old boy, Vedant Agarwal’s grandpa who killed two IT professionals on a bike on May 19 when his Porsche automobile crashed into them, was taken into custody by Pune Police on Saturday. A local court then placed him under police detention until May 28.

Gangaram had claimed to the the police that he was operating the Porsche during the accident when Aneesh Awadhiya and his companion Ashwini Koshta were killed. Despite video footage showing Vedant being at the wheel of the Porsche, Vedant’s friends and his family had gone onto claim that the driver, Gangaram was actually driving the car. Vishal Agarwal, the owner of Brahma Realty and father of Vishal Agarwal had been arrested previously in the case with his wife Shivani releasing a safety message concerned about the safety of her son, Vedant.
Gangaram, the driver and two of Vedant’s friends were present in the car at the time of the accident in Kalyani Nagar, Pune, Gangaram is now a witness in the case.
Surendra Agarwal was taken into custody at 3 a.m. from his home. Regarding the Porsche collision case, this is the third FIR. After Surendra Agarwal was arrested, the Pune crime branch searched Agarwal’s residence in Brahma Suncity.
Police revealed in court that Surendra Agrawal kidnapped his driver, Gangaram, and imprisoned him in a bungalow. There, Surendra Agarwal put pressure on Gangaram to accept responsibility for the collision. In addition, some CCTV footage has been found.
In the meantime, the accused’s attorney asserted that Gangaram visited the home by himself following the mishap out of concern for his safety.
The public reportedly caught the boy Vedant Agarwal running after the accident and found no one else in or near the Porsche.

In an effort to learn more about Surendra Agarwal’s son and grandson and the talks he had with them the day of the tragedy, the Pune crime branch had already questioned him.
According to the police, Agarwal owned a real estate company whose name was on the Porsche’s registration. Surendra Agarwal was being tried in a shootout case, according to CBI sources, for allegedly giving money to gangster Chhota Rajan.
The driver left the police station the day of the accident, and Surendra Agarwal reportedly took away his cell phone, according to Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar.

According to a senior official, police have also filed a case against his father, a real estate developer. Two people were killed when their motorbike in the Kalyani Nagar neighbourhood of this city was struck by a Porsche driven by a 17-year-old who the police believe was intoxicated at the time. The incident occurred on Sunday at approximately 3:15 a.m.
After the child was presented to the Juvenile Justice Board, hours later, bail was granted. Currently, Vedant is in an observation home until 5 June.
