According to the Spanish Civil Guard, a 20-year-old man attacked Francisco J Naval, a 24-year-old football player and stabbed him in the chest. There doesn’t seem to be any reason for the attack, and the two men don’t seem to know each other.
After the accident, Francisco J Naval was taken to hospitals in Sanlucar and Jerez de la Frontera right away. However, his injuries were so bad that he had to be moved to the Puerta del Mar hospital in Cadiz. He was on the edge of life and death, but he died around 2.30 a.m. on Sunday.

The statement said, “Well, we don’t even have words to begin with, this seems like a nightmare, but unfortunately it’s real, our player Paco Naval Perez has left us, he died this morning.” The statement added that Francisco J Naval had been “fighting between life and death” and that he “had his whole life ahead of him”.
One of Spain’s biggest football teams, Real Madrid, also remembered the young player. In a statement, Real Madrid sent condolences and love to Francisco J Naval’s family, club, teammates, and other people close to him. “Real Madrid CF deeply regrets the death of Paco Naval, a Chipiona CF player, and wishes to express its condolences and affection to all his family, his club, teammates, and loved ones. RIP,” the statement read.
