The Port Vale “wonderkid,” Baylee Dipepa, is being scouted by Manchester United as confirmed by Italina transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Despite the fact that no signings have been completed, Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s vision has been evident, and this summer is expected to be the first one under his direction. This season, the 17-year-old forward has scored three goals in 20 matches for his side in addition to an assist.

With Port Vale, Dipepa began his professional career in the under-9 division. He started off the bench to make his senior side debut on September 5, 2023, at Vale Park in a 1-0 EFL Trophy group stage match against Crewe Alexandra.

On December 9, he substituted Ethan Chislett in a 1-0 victory over Exeter City, becoming the seventh-youngest player in club history to participate in a Football League game and that time, the young star was just sixteen years and thirty-one days old.

He sealed his first professional deal in January 2024 following widespread praise for his positive mindset and future potential from manager Andy Crosby and director of football David Flitcroft. In a 2–2 draw with Fleetwood Town on February 27, he earned his first league start under new boss Darren Moore and recorded an assist which was impressive.

He is the second-youngest goalscorer, in the club’s history at the age of sixteen, behind only teammate Jack Shorrock, who also scored his first goal in a 2-1 home loss to Shrewsbury Town on March 10. In March 2024, Dipepa received a call-up to the England under-17 team.

He scored a brace, coming on from bench on his debut in the 5-1 triumph against Northern Ireland in the St. George’s Park 2024 UEFA European Under-17 Championship qualifying game. In his first game back, the forward scored the first goal of a 5-0 victory against Hungary.
