Mewis and Kerr have been dating for several years now and got engaged on September 1, 2023, before breaking the news only on November 9 that same year. Kerr recently signed for Liverpool in the 2025 January winter transfer window on loan from Bayern Munich.

Kristen Anne Mewis is an American professional football player who was born on February 25, 1991, in Weymouth, Massachusetts, USA with her height at 1.71m. She was born to parents Melissa Mewis and Robert Mewis and has a sister named Sam Mewis. Kristie mainly plays as a midfielder for West Ham United in the Women’s Super League as well as for the United States national team.
Kristie’s younger sister, Sam, has appeared 83 times for her country, playing alongside her sibling on numerous occasions and with Kristie’s inclusion on the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup roster, the Mewis sisters become the first set of sisters to each represent the USA at a FIFA Women’s World Cup, the first sisters ever to make an Olympic Team (2020), as well as being the most capped sisters in USWNT history.

She also featured as an Eastern Massachusetts Girls Soccer Association Div. 1 First Team All-Star on three occasions.
Over the years, Kristie has played for several top clubs across different leagues and competitions. She started out her career at Canberra United FC in 2013 in the Australian W-League. She then joined FC Kansas City that same year, before playing for the Boston Breakers from 2014-2016. During her time there, she went out on loan to Iga FC Kunoichi in 2014 and FC Bayern Munich in 2015. Kristie Mewis then joined the Washington Spirit from 2016-2017 before moving on to the Chicago Red Stars. She then played for Houston Dash from 2017–2021, before briefly joining Gotham FC from 2022–2023. She then joined her current club, West Ham United, in the WSL in 2023.
