He shared the news of Powell’s transition, stating, “I am saddened to share with the rest of the world that Ronald Powell Transitioned Earlier today. REST IN POWER RONALD POWELL.”

Powell, once ranked as the top prospect in the 2010 class by Rivals, played four seasons with the Florida Gators under coaches Urban Meyer and Will Muschamp.

He later entered the professional stage in 2014, playing 14 games with the New Orleans Saints after being drafted in the fifth round.
