Finlay Cross-Adair, a forward for Preston North End, reportedly suffered significant injuries in a car accident, according to the Championship team.

The 18-year-old was involved in the accident on the A6 near Lancaster on Thursday when he was out on loan to Scottish League One team Annan Athletic. According to the Lilywhites, Cross-Adair is currently healing in the hospital. As per The Mirror, at 5.10 p.m., Cross-Adair was driving a Seat Ibiza when it crashed head-on with a Mercedes Sprinter van on the A6 close to Lancaster.
Preston in a statement said:
Preston North End can confirm that young professional Finlay Cross-Adair was involved in a road traffic accident on the A6 on the evening of Thursday 5th October.
The statement further said:
Finlay suffered serious injuries as a result of the accident and is currently recovering in hospital. The football club will show full support for Finlay and his family during his recovery. We will be making no further comment until it is appropriate to do so.”

A look at who is Finlay Cross-Adair
The English football player was born on Jan, 11, 2005. He currently plays for a professional football team called Preston North End Football Club, also known as Preston, North End, or PNE, is based in Preston, Lancashire, England. They are currently competing in the English Football League’s second division, the EFL Championship.
Cross-Adair rose through the Preston academy ranks, and in December 2022, he signed his first professional contract after helping the youth team win the league and cup in 2021–2022. He has appeared in six games for the first team and seven for Annan this season. Both a goal and an assist are his.
In all competitions last season, Cross-Adair made six appearances after making his senior debut for North End in October 2022. The forward, a die-hard supporter of Preston North End, entered the game late against Stoke City at Deepdale. After that, in December 2022, he received his first professional contract.
