Why the Police arrested Fatima Khan?

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, a prominent BJP campaigner, is expected to visit Maharashtra to support the upcoming state assembly elections on November 20. Recently, the Mumbai Traffic Police received a disturbing WhatsApp message from an anonymous number threatening to kill Adityanath unless he resigned within ten days.

Notably, the message likened this potential act to the recent killing of NCP leader Baba Siddique. In response, the police acted swiftly, arresting a woman linked to the threat. The Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) in Mumbai, in collaboration with Ulhasnagar police, successfully traced and detained the suspect. Investigations are ongoing.

The individual arrested has been identified as Fatima Khan, a 24-year-old BSc graduate in Information Technology from Ulhasnagar, Thane district. Fatima resides with her family and her father is a timber businessman. Despite her academic background, police suggest she may have mental health challenges, and they are working to uncover her motives for issuing the threat.

In a related incident, independent MP Rajesh Ranjan, also known as Pappu Yadav, recently received a death threat from a caller claiming connections to Bishnoi. On Saturday, Bihar police detained Mahesh Pandey, a Delhi resident suspected of making the call. Pandey admitted to contacting Yadav via WhatsApp using a SIM card borrowed from his wifeโ€™s sister in the UAE. However, authorities have not yet confirmed any link between him and the Bishnoi gang.
