Fatima Ismail died at the age of 93 years in an emergency clinic in Kochi. Her last rights were held today 21 April 2023 at 4:00 PM at the Chempu Juma Masjid Kabristan.
Fatima was suffering from age-related ailments. Shashi Tharoor was the first one to pay tribute to her on Twitter. A number of other Mollywood actors have also paid tribute to her.
She is survived by her children, Ameena, Sauda, Mammooty, Maqbool, Ibrahim Kutty, Zakriah, and Ashkar.
She was married to Ismail who had a garment business and did rice cultivation.

Mammoottyโs real name is Muhammad Kutty Panaparambil Ismail. He is a well-known entertainer and filmmaker in the Indian entertainment world who is known for his work in Malayalam films. Mammootty has graced the cinema in 400 motion pictures and has been honored with different awards including three Public Film Grants and seven Kerala State Film Grants.
Mammootty began his career in 1971 and earned fame with films like Ahimsa, Sandhyakku Virinja Poovu, and New Delhi during the 1980s. He got appreciation from critics for his films like Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, Kaazcha, and Paleri Manikyam.
Mammootty is the eldest child and has two brothers, Ibrahimkutty and Zakariah, alongside three sisters, Ameena, Sauda, and Shafina. He is considered among the best Mollywood actors.
Mammootty finished schooling at Government Secondary School, Kulasekharamangalam.ย During the 1960s, Mammootty’s family migrated to Ernakulam, where he went to Government School Ernakulam. He finished his pre-college course (pre-degree) at Sacrosanct Heart School, Thevara, and got his certificate from Maharaja’s School, Ernakulam.
He later graduated with an LL.B. from Government Regulation School, Ernakulam, and specialized in legal matters for two years in Manjeri. In 1979, Mammootty got married to Sulfath Kuttyy.
