Rahul Mishra was the first Indian designer who was invited to showcase at Haute Couture Week in Paris. Rahul Mishra was born on the 7th of November 1979 and presently his age is 43 years as of 2023.
Rahul won International Woolmark Prize at the Milan Fashion Week in 2014. The winning collection was sold in stores all across the globe. In early 2008, Rahul Mishra was also awarded the MTV Youth Icon of the Year Award.

Rahul Mishraโs family and education
Rahul Mishra hails from Malhausi, a village 53 miles on the outskirts of Kanpur. Rahul spent his childhood with his grandparents by listening to an array of stories. He finished his degree in physics from Kanpur University.
Then he followed post-graduation in apparel design from the National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad. He won the Best Student Designer of the Year Award in early 2005.
In late 2009, Rahul Mishra became the first non-European designer who won a scholarship from the Istituto Marangoni, Milan, Italy. Rahul got married to her love of life Divya who is also a NID graduate in apparel design. Divya also works with him.

Rahul Mishra made his debut in 2006 at the Lakme Fashion Week with his cotton handloom textiles from the state of Kerala that had off-white fabric with a golden border of Kerala mundu.
Rahul has also showcased his amazing work at the fashion weeks held in London, Dubai, and Australia. He is regular on the calendar of Paris Fashion Week.
In 2014, Rahul won the 2014 Woolmark Prize at Milan Fashion Week and an award that carries an AUS $100,000 prize. This award was also earlier won by designers Yves Saint and Laurent. To date, he is the only Indian to win this award.
