Following controversy surrounding the murder of Sydney Wilson, 33, Fairfax County Police made the video public sparking concerns about her mental health. The video captures Wilson’s doctor expressing concerns about her mental health, prompting crisis intervention specialist Peter Liu to visit her flat.
In the viral video, Sydney Wilson answers the door when Liu knocks on it, but swiftly closes it again. After then, the officer kept pounding on the door for about ten minutes.

Ex-University of Georgetown basketball player Wilson of Virginia can be seen in the video abruptly opening the door and then slashing Peter Liu with a knife. With lightning speed, the cop retreated into the corridor, pulled out his gun, and gave Wilson the command to back up.
Liu is seen running into a dead-end hallway, and Wilson is seen chasing with the knife raised. Wilson consistently obeyed his verbal commands to “back up,” and as he lifts his gun, she momentarily pauses before moving closer to him.
Giving orders to “please back up,” Liu withdraws until his back is against the door of another flat. Wilson keeps coming toward him while holding the knife up, then cuts at him once more.
Fairfax Police Officer Peter Liu’s actions were endorsed by Fairfax Police Chief Kevin Davis, who emphasized his 14 years of service on the force. “He did what we train and expect him to do,” Kevin Davisstated, defending Peter Liu’s decision.

Who was Sydney Wilson?
Age 33 Sydney Wilson who stood 6 feet 5 inches tall played basketball for Georgetown University in the past. She was shot and killed by a policeman acting in self-defence.
33-year-old Wilson was a part of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. She was 1.96 m tall. After attacking a police officer and stabbing herself in the face, she was shot dead. The attack and the gunfire that followed were all captured on camera by the officer’s body cam.
The former basketball player was given immediate medical attention following the incident, but unfortunately she was declared dead by the hospital.
