The papers reported that on Monday at around 5:30 PM, Lindsey McGlone, the mother of Lee’s two-year-old son, summoned police to a home in Dublin, Ohio, claiming that Lee had attacked his mother, Candice Lee.

McGlone said she heard Candice screaming from upstairs while she was in the kitchen. Her account of what she saw when she arrived at the scene was that Candice was “lying on her back with Mr. Lee overtop of her with a raised fist.” Documents show that Candice told police she went to the house after McGlone warned her to be careful regarding Darron Lee.

The police say Candice told them she found Darron Lee unconscious on the floor of a bedroom and told him he had to go. She says the ex-football player lost it, started yelling at her, grabbed her by the shirt, and pushed her twice against a wall.
After throwing Candice to the ground, Candice claims Darron repeatedly hit her in the face and back of the head. She also said Darron Lee yanked her hair. She claimed the fight ended when McGlone rushed up and yanked Darron away from her.

Candice complained of head ache and had swelling on her left face, according to the police. She was taken by ambulance to a nearby medical facility for treatment. McGlone blamed Darron for the incident and said that he had previously assaulted her in 2022.

She claimed that on October 17th, when Darron Lee first suspected McGlone of cheating on him, everything went down. McGlone reportedly told police that Darron threatened to kill her and their child while he was on top of her in bed. She went on to say that he gripped her throat and punched the cushion next to her head many times.

As Darron finally let go of her, the woman said police he took her phone and threw it against a wall. According to McGlone, the ball ricocheted and hit her in the head, creating a cut and a leak in her ear. She claims in the papers that Darron Lee followed her below and kept attacking even after she fled there.
According to McGlone, Darron snatched her by the neck, swung her around, and then threw her on the ground. She informed police she was able to take the kid and get out of there before things became worse.

Court records reveal that after his arrest, Darron Lee faced four charges: two counts of domestic violence and two counts of assault, both classified as minor offences. The 28-year-old was still incarcerated as of Tuesday morning, according to jail records.
