63-year-old Sanjay Dixit was born on July 15, 1960 in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. He exhibited talent and acumen from his school days. While pursuing primary education in Varanasi, his journey took an unexpected turn as he pursued Marine Engineering from DMET, Calcutta, fueled by a passion for the merchant navy.

Dixit is married to Shruti who is an advocate.

On Thursday, 4 June 1987, Sanjay Dixit got married to Shruti Dixitย  and they have two sons, the elder son Saumitra Dixit, and Shrauteya.

Sanjay Dixit (Born on 15/07/1960) is a retired IAS officer of Rajasthan cadre (1986 batch) and did his graduation in Marine Engineering.

He served in the rank of Principal Secretary to Govt of Rajasthan. Posted as Commissioner of Enquiries but his rank isn’t known.

Sanjay Dixit career

Sanjay Dixit’s association with the world of cricket began when he actively played during his school days. However, it was in 1994, during the inception of the state championship in Rajasthan, that he became instrumental in the cricket scene. Leading the Barmer district cricket team as its president, he guided them to victory, marking the onset of his popularity in cricket administration.

His success with the Barmer team led to significant roles within the RCA. Subsequently, he became the president of the District Cricket Association in Barmer and later assumed the role of the Secretary General of the Rajasthan Civil Service cricket team. His contributions further extended to the international realm, collaborating with Lalit Modi to introduce and navigate sports laws in India.

Under his leadership, the Rajasthan cricket team secured historic victories, clinching the Ranji Trophy in 2011 after 77 years. The success extended to the under-19 and under-16 teams, showcasing excellence in cricket administration.

As the Principal Secretary of the Command Area Development Department, Sanjay Dixit successfully implemented the Chambal Canal System, a testament to his administrative prowess.

Recognized for his efforts in agriculture, Sanjay Dixit played a pivotal role in promoting date palm cultivation in Rajasthan. The establishment of the International Horticulture Training Centre, under a PPP model, reflects his commitment to agricultural innovation.
