Who is Alyson Cranick?
Alyson Cranick is 42 years old as of now. After working as a paraprofessional in the Columbia school district, she was confirmed by school officials to be an administrative assistant at E.O. Smith High School in Mansfield. After the state’s inquiry was completed, she was terminated from her job at the high school.
She faces three counts of endangering the welfare of a juvenile and two counts of first-degree s*xual assault. The youngster was between the ages of 11 and 12 in 2022 when the alleged two-month sexual encounter took place. The incident was first reported in September of 2023.
What did the victim reveal?
The child reported to the authorities that during her time at Horace Porter School, which serves students in pre-K through eighth grade, he and Cranick had s*x in her vehicle. He disclosed that he had secretly observed Cranick at least fourteen times that evening. Following her surrender, Cranick appeared in Rockville Court on Tuesday.
The victim revealed that he and Cranick spoke via iMessage and Snapchat, per the arrest warrant. In addition, hundreds of flirty and s*xual texts between Cranick and the child were discovered by the authorities. Beyond that, the warrant stated that Cranick had gifted the child a bracelet that read, “BFFLWB,” which stands for “Best Friends for Life With Benefits.”
The youngster informed the police that Cranick would either wait for him during the night by “walking up to his house or hiding behind a shrub on a neighbour’s property.” Cranick claimed to have downplayed any unlawful explanation for speaking with the boy throughout her police interrogation, and she denied having intercourse with him. She explained that due to concerns about family issues, her interactions with the child were restricted to offering comfort.
