Responding officers discovered a horrifying scene, with the victim, identified as 44-year-old Collin Small, dismembered, and parts of his body found in various locations within the apartment. The severed head, bearing a bullet wound, was chillingly stored in Johnson’s freezer.

He was born and brought up in Harlem, Manhattan, New York City. According to his father, Sheldon Johnson Sr., Sheldon obtained his GED in prison.

Notably, almost half of his life has been spent in prison. State prison records show that he was found guilty of illegal possession of stolen goods in Manhattan in 1997 while going by the alias Thomas Smalls.

Sheldon worked as an at-risk juvenile counselor for the Queens public defender’s office. He gained fame for being a guest on Joe Rogan’s well-liked podcast last month, where he talked about his job and his imprisonment.
