Under the TikTok handle @brittanypeachhh, Pietsch posted the video, amassing over 160,000 views on the platform, with millions more on reposts on X. Pietsch is seen in the video, “POV: You’re about to get laid off,” answering a call from HR officials and finding out she has been fired.
The HR states on the video that she did not live up to Cloudflare’s requirements in her performance reviews for 2023. Pietsch, however, swiftly defends herself, emphasizing her high activity levels and positive feedback from her manager.
Since the video gained traction, Matthew Prince, Cloudflare’s CEO, acknowledged the situation on X, expressing that the video was “painful” for him to watch. Prince acknowledged that the conversation should have been handled more carefully and said that the business had let go of about 40 of its 1,500 salesmen during the previous quarter.

Brittany Pietsch started her career as a flute instructor at South Forsyth High School and further polished her abilities as a stage manager at Kennesaw State University’s Dr. Bobbie Bailey Performing Arts Center. She moved to Lassiter High School and carried on imparting her musical knowledge as a flute instructor.
Pietsch demonstrated her flexibility in the performing arts field by taking on responsibilities at Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center that ranged from stage manager to lighting technician. Pietsch also ventured into event organizing.
She began her career as a studio technician at WSB-TV, which led her into the world of media. Later on, Pietsch ventured into a variety of professional settings, first navigating the fields of account management and IT recruiting at Insight Global before setting out on a corporate path.
She showed her expertise in the tech sector at Snowflake, moving from corporate account executive to strategic account executive. Most recently, she was employed at Cloudflare as a Mid-Market account executive.
