Know more about Ralf Schumacherโ€™s boyfriend Etienne as social media platforms are currently buzzing with a viral picture of the former motorsports racing driver with a mysterious man.

For the unversed, earlier reports emerged suggesting that Ralf Schumacher, who secured six Grand Prix victories during his 10-year Formula 1 career, has publicly come out as gay through an Instagram post.

Taking to Instagram, the 49-year-old German shared a photo on the photo-sharing platform on Sunday, featuring his arm around another man.

The caption read, โ€œThe most beautiful thing in life is when you have the right partner by your side with whom you can share everything.โ€

Schumacher, who raced for Jordan, Williams, and Toyota between 1997 and 2007 and is the younger brother of seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher. He was previously married to Cora-Caroline Brinkmann.

The couple even have a son, David, born in 2001. However, they went their separate ways in 2015 after a period of separation. In recent years, Schumacher has worked as a driver mentor and co-commentator for Sky Sports in Germany.

About Ralf Schumacherโ€™s Boyfriend

For the curious, Schumacherโ€™s boyfriend, named Etienne, shared Schumacherโ€™s post on his own Instagram story with a heart symbol.

According to German outlet Bild, the the couple met in Monaco. Ralf Schumacher continues to live in Salzburg whereas Etienne lives in Nice and have been dating since two years. Etienne is French and he and Ralf are also business partners and he is his general manager.

Etienne splits his time between Cape Town in South Africa and the city of Nice on the French Riviera. The business manager is said to have met former Jordan, Williams and Toyota driver Ralf in Monaco and the pair began working together with Etienne managing the former driver’s affairs.

From the coupleโ€™s Instagram activity, it is evident they were together in Monaco for the Monaco Grand Prix in May, where Etienne was seen wearing a Monaco GP VIP Guest badge.

German reality TV star Carmen Geiss commented on Schumacherโ€™s post, saying, โ€œYou have the best partner Etienne that one can only imagine. After 2 years, you can finally show your love to the world.โ€

Geiss also posted on her own account, sharing a photo of herself being embraced by the two men and writing, โ€œToday, he [Schumacher] made known his homos*xuality.

โ€œThis step was an act of liberation and self-acceptance for him. It was a courageous decision that has matured in him for a long time.โ€

Schumacher is only the second male F1 driver known to be gay. The first was Mike Beuttler, who competed in 29 Grands Prix from 1971 to 1973 and passed away due to complications from AIDS in 1988 at the age of 48.
