England pacer Brydon Carse was given a 16-month ban with 13 of those months being suspended for a full two years. 

Meanwhile, It was revealed on Friday that an England paceman who violated betting rules would be barred from all cricket for three months.

Carse admitted to betting on various cricket matches 303 times between 2017 and 2019, but not on matches in which he was participating. Meanwhile, he will be eligible to play again on August 28, 2024 after his three month ban ends.

Brydon Alexander Carse is an English cricketer who was born on July 31, 1995 in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa. The 28-year-old stands 6 ft 3 in (1.91 m) tall. 

Bydon Carse generates genuine pace and regularly clocks speeds around 90mph(145kph).

He bats right-handed and is mostly a right-arm quick bowler. 

In 2016, Carse made his Durham debut in the first class. In December 2023, he played his final game for England. In an ODI in 2021, he made his debut for the national squad. 

Carse made his Durham first-class debut in the County Championship the same year he signed a development contract with Durham. He bagged 17 wickets there in his debut season, and the side, as a result, gave him a two-year contract. 

The Englishman made his List A debut at Royal London One-Day Cup on April 17, 2019, for Durham. He was signed by the Northern Superchargers for The Hundred’s 2022 season in April of that year.

Carse’s British heritage allows him to play for England as in 2019, the cricketer met the residency requirements for the country. 

Carse made his ODI debut for England against Pakistan on July 8, 2021. On August 30, 2023, he made his Twenty20 debut against New Zealand after being called up to replace the injured Josh Tongue. 

On October 23, 2023, he was also called up to the 2023 ODI World Cup, taking Reece Topley’s place due to injury.

Brydon Carse is the son of James Alexander Carse, a Zimbabwean cricket player who played for Northamptonshire in England. The name of his mother isn’t known.
