Reportedly, Emma Ramsay, who originally hails from Hamilton, South Lanarkshire, had been enjoying a night out with her friends. She shared a series of videos dancing and enjoying herself with her friends on social media just hours before the shocking accident.
The Strathclyde University, Scottish student had posted videos of her enjoying her holiday just hours before her death.
The tragic incident took place on Tuesday morning at the four-star Hotel Vibra district in San Antonio from whose sixth floor Emma fell. Despite the efforts of paramedics, who arrived at the scene around 3 a.m., Emma was pronounced dead.
After learning the tragic news, Emma Ramsay’s parents have reportedly flown to the island.
In a post, her mother Barbara said her daughter was “my best friend in the whole world”.
The young woman who died in Ibiza in the early hours of Tuesday morning has been named as Hamilton teen Emma Ramsay.

For the curious, 19 year old Emma Ramsay, was a law student at Strathclyde University, as per media reports. Videos on TikTok feature her dancing before a night out at Hï Ibiza club, celebrating with friends in an elevator, and posing on a balcony near Café Del Mar.
Tributes have since poured in for Emma, with former teachers describing her as “incredibly kind” and “hardworking.”

Lorna Lawson, headteacher at St. John Ogilvie High School where Emma went, expressed deep sorrow over the loss, recalling Emma as a bright and talented student who made significant contributions to the school community.
Colette Watson, headteacher at St. Mark’s Primary in Hamilton, also remembered Emma as a caring and considerate girl, with fond memories shared by many staff members.
Emma Ramsay’s friend, Paris McGoldrick, posted a heartfelt tribute, describing Emma as perfect and expressing her eternal love and gratitude for their friendship. “Heaven just gained the most beautiful angel,” Paris wrote.
The Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office confirmed they are providing support to Emma’s family and are in contact with local authorities. A spokesperson for the Spanish Civil Guard confirmed the tragic incident involving the young British tourist.
