On Friday, September 13, Emily Gold who appeared to have committed suicide was discovered dead. Public Information Officer Rodrigo Jimenez of the California Highway Patrol revealed that when the police arrived, they found a female, seventeen years old, who had been struck by at least one other vehicle in the carpool lane on westbound 210.
Hailing from Rancho Cucamonga, California, age 17 Gold had been competing alongside her fellow students from Los Osos High School as part of their dance and cheerleading troupe in America’s Got Talent but was recently eliminated in the quarter-finals last month.
“Thank you all so much for your love and support,” the family statement said. “We will announce details of services once they have been arranged.” The family signed its message “Love, Brandy, Steve and Alex Gold.”
Anyone who saw what happened is urged by the police to get in touch with Officer S. Gonzalez, their investigation. People Magazine was informed by the San Bernardino Coroner’s Office that Emily’s death is being investigated as a suicide. A large number of Emily’s friends have honoured the cheerleader on social media.
In an Instagram post, dance team member Mia Bustamante expressed how much Emily would be “missed beyond words.” She added: “You brought me the most beautiful form of love I could ask for.”
Emily Gold participated in America’s Got Talent with her fellow dancers and they advanced to quarterfinals. Among those who praised them was Simon Cowell, who remarked, “It was absolutely brilliant.”

Emily has always demonstrated the strength, dedication, kindness, compassion, and most modest heart of all of our core team characteristics. To her teammates, she served as a leader, an inspiration, a friend, and a sister.
