Despite the controversy surrounding her, Maraga has stood firm on her decisions, and has continued to defend her right to make choices outside of work hours.
Elena Maraga fired over her OF account
The whole incident surrounding Elena began earlier this year in March, when a father of one of Maraga’s students came across her OF account. The father allegedly subscribed to her content and circulated it within a football group chat. Subsequently, his wife found out about it and raised the issue with the school. Instead of backing down and deleting her account, Maraga prompted the Catholic nursery near Treviso to suspend her without pay.

The school eventually came to a decision to dismiss Maraga on Tuesday for “just cause with immediate effect.” The school cited a breach of trust and conflict with its religious values, with the administrators arguing that her adult content and subsequent media appearances damaged the public image and trust essential towards her teaching role. Maraga has since gone on to criticize the process, and claimed that the school denied her of a fair dialogue and opportunity to explain her side.
