Spectrum News 13’s Dylan Lyons has been confirmed as the Florida TV reporter who was attacked and killed while reporting an incident in Orlando.
On Wednesday, a reporter was shot and killed in Pine Hills while covering an earlier homicide. In addition to him, the shooting suspect, named Keith Melvin Moses, also murdered a 38-year-old woman, Nathacha Augustin, and one 9-year-old child, T’yonna Majo. Additionally, the suspect injured two other people, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

Who was Dylan Lyons?
Dylan Lyons was an American TV reporter. He has been in the news because he was attacked and murdered while reporting the Pine Hills homicide in Orlando.
He was born and raised in Philadelphia. Later, he relocated to Central Florida from Pennsylvania.
After completing his schooling, he attended the University of Central Florida where he first did a Master of Public Administration – MPA, Public Administration. Later, he did a Master of Science in Criminal Justice and ultimately did a B.A. in Journalism and Political Science. Additionally, he also attended the Dreyfoos School of the Arts.
Dylan Lyons then relocated to Gainesville to work as a news anchor. He was also engaged, and his fiancee’s name is Casey Lynn.
He was just 24 years old when he died.
His career
Dylan Lyons started his career in the media field even before graduating. He has interned at several Orlando-based media channels. He first became an executive producer at DSOA Today. Later, he becomes an intern at WMFE (90.7) and WFTV. He then becomes a sports editor and reporter at Knight News.
Subsequently, he becomes president of the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) and a student journalist at the University of Central Florida. Later, he interned at WKMG News 6. He later worked as an anchor and reporter for WCJB TV 20 News. At the time of his death, he was associated with Spectrum News 13.
The Florida Association of Broadcast Journalists gave Dylan Lyons an award, and she was also a finalist for another.
