Dylan Grant suffered serious injuries in the incident after a bull stepped on him while he was performing. He died after being sent to Houston, Texas’s Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center where he was taken via helicoper.

Wharton County Youth Fair mourned the death of Grant with a post on Facebook. “Our sincere condolences to Dylan’s family,” the post read. “Please keep them all in your thoughts and prayers!”
The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association also sent a statement sending condolences to the young man’s family, which read, in part, “The PRCA would like to send its thoughts and prayers to bull rider Dylan Grant’s family, friends, and the entire rodeo/bull riding community after Grant passed away after suffering injuries Thursday night during the Wharton County Youth Fair Xtreme Bulls event in Wharton, Texas. Grant was 24.”
Grant hurried to the corner to meet the paramedics, who promptly placed him in an ambulance and sent him to a hospital, where he passed away. Usually, it is problematic for paramedics to rush the arena when the bull is still raging.

Dylan Grant was a Wyoming rodeo. He was a member of the University of Wyoming rodeo team and a student there. In a statement lamenting Grant’s death, the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association mentioned that Grant had won the Mountain States Circuit Finals Rodeo bull riding title.
Dylan received his rodeo permit from PRCA in 2018, according to the PCRA. He was regularly spotted participating in rodeo events like Xtreme Bulls and PRORODEO.
With a combined score of 208.5 points, he won the bull riding title at the Wyoming High School Rodeo Association state tournament in Rock Springs in 2018. He was the only bull rider to successfully mark two rounds in the 2022 Lamar rodeo, which helped him win the competition. Through his participation in rodeo events, Grant has won a total of $15,710 in awards.
Cyd Davidson, a longtime family friend of Grant’s who was close to both his late grandfather and grandmother, said she learned of his passing on Friday morning.
