The tragic news of the star’s demise was confirmed by a Reddit user on the New Orleans community page.
The Police Department said Saturday it was seeking two men, whom the agency identified as suspects, and a woman who might have information about the crime and they identified Dyamonique Smith as the woman, and released photographs of the men and a car in which they said the killer left the scene.

NOPD confirmed the man shot & killed outside a Rouses on Baronne was Brandon Montrell aka "Boogie B." We’re told Montrell arrived in New Orleans from Los Angeles earlier in the day.

The user took to the social media platform and wrote in the statement that, “They killed Boogie B outside Rouses this evening. No more stressing us out with New Orleans hood history anymore.
“I’m so heartbroken. We can’t even sit in the grocery store parking lot without being in danger. Lord. May he rest peacefully.”
As per reports, the social media personality was out shopping groceries for his grandmother at a supermarket when he was shot dead.
The 43-year-old star was gunned down outside a Warehouse grocery district when he sat in a car. As per the officials, the star wasn’t the target of the crime.
The crossfire took place between the 2 men in the parking lot of the supermarket store.
The social media star was widely known for his comedic video series ‘Hood History.’ The social media was flooded with the condolences messages as the fans of the comedian paid their last tributes to the star.
Meanwhile, many other celebs also took to the social media platform as they paid their condolences to the late comedian.
One such celebrity penned down “I love you Boogie B! You were one of a kind!”
Another one added, “RIP KING.”
A third one wrote, “Boogie B!!!! My guy! Always positive vibes when we linked up. All love.”
Another one added, “Salute to you brother. Glad we got to rock the mic one time. RIP.”
For those who are unversed, let us tell you, apart from being a comedian, Boogie is also known as the President and CEO of the Montrell Smith Aids Awareness Foundation ever since 2012.
The TikTok star graduated from Delgado Community College. The star’s father passed away back in 2017 due to AIDS and his elder brother Kevin Smith who contracted the disease in the same year.
However, he died after he committed the suicide in 2010 because of financial troubles. The star even appeared in an Amazon Prime project titled ‘Boosters LA and Comedy Bad Boys.’
