Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West, has recently revealed a striking set of titanium grills valued at an astonishing $850,000 with the procedure carried out by dentist Dr Thomas Connelly
Inspired by the menacing character Jaws from James Bond films, this distinctive dental structure has ignited a frenzy on social media, prompting speculation about whether Ye underwent the removal of his natural teeth.

In a recent Instagram Stories post on Wednesday, Ye offered a glimpse of his opulent dental makeover, showcasing an open mouth adorned with what appeared to be titanium covered by another material.
Contrary to widespread social media rumors, a close source to Ye clarified, “The technical term is fixed prosthodontics. They are fixed and permanent. This goes way beyond veneers or grills. It’s quite unlike anything that has been done before. All that said, his teeth weren’t removed.”
This groundbreaking dental procedure, characterized as experimental dentistry, resulted in a denture-like structure specifically tailored to Ye’s teeth.

Ye collaborated with a group of dentists and cosmetic surgeons to create the prosthodontics, which amounted to a total cost of $850,000.
Renowned Beverly Hills-based dentist Thomas Connelly, known for crafting custom dental art for entertainers and athletes, played a key role in creating the unique model to align with Ye’s vision.
Dr Thomas Connelly, also termed the “ Father of Diamond Dentistry” by Rolling Stone magazine, is a trailblazer in the dental field with his remarkable multi-million dollar dental creations on some of the most recognized faces in entertainment and sports and with 25 years of experience and offices in SoHo NYC and Beverly Hills, Dr. Connelly is touching patients across the globe with his dental innovation and mastery. Dr. Connelly received his dental training at the Mayo Clinic, the University of Detroit Mercy, and Louisiana State University and has also served as a clinical professor at Harvard University Dental School in Boston, and Columbia School of Dental Medicine in New York City.
Connelly attested, “Ye was a pleasure to work with every step of the process. His vision for designing unique art transcends the dental progression.”
In dispelling speculations, Connelly confirmed that Ye’s natural teeth remain untouched. “He did not have his teeth removed. He still has a full dentition. Healthy and happy,” he affirmed.
Addressing rumors, dental technician Naoki Hayashi, involved in the prosthesis, shared an article on Instagram suggesting teeth removal. However, Connelly’s statements and Ye’s history of altering dental designs support the notion that the artist’s teeth are unharmed.
This latest spectacle aligns with Ye’s upcoming album collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign titled “Vultures,” adding an additional layer of intrigue to the artist’s continuously evolving persona.
