56-year-old Dr. Sachin Patkar was a respected figure in the field of psychiatry. He was known for his bright, pragmatic, and result-oriented approach to mental health. After dedicating years to his practice, he had recently relocated to a rented flat in Dadar’s Raintree Building. He moved as he wanted to be closer to his elderly father, Dr. A. P. Patkar who is a luminary in the field of psychiatry in Maharashtra.
Dr. Sachin Patkar left behind a grieving family, including his wife, children, and a son pursuing a career in medicine. His legacy as a compassionate healer and dedicated practitioner will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He attended KEM College, Mumbai. Dr. Sachin was working with Breach Candy Polyclinic, Mumbai.

Dr. Sachin Patkar completed his graduation and post graduation with distinction from the reputed King Edward Memorial & G.S Medical College, Mumbai.

Dr. Sachin Patkar’s death
On a fateful Saturday morning, at 8.30 a.m., tragedy struck as fire engulfed Dr. Patkar’s apartment. Fire brigade officials responded swiftly but the closed doors presented a challenge. With great effort, they managed to gain access. The doctor was found unconscious in the bedroom. Despite their best efforts, Doctor Patkar was pronounced dead upon arrival at Sion Hospital.
Surprisingly, his body showed no signs of burn injuries, leading experts to conclude that he succumbed to smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire remains shrouded in mystery leaving investigators puzzled. The blaze originated in the hall of Dr. Patkar’s flat but what triggered it remains uncertain. The apartment suffered significant damage with the AC unit, curtains, and a dining table reduced to ashes.
Residents of the Raintree Building were quick to react. Their prompt action played a crucial role in minimizing potential harm.
