Reportedly, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) will take time off from politics to attend another major event, which is the wedding of BSP supremo Mayawati’s London-educated nephew Akash Anand to Dr. Pragya Siddharth, the daughter of a former BSP MP and one of Behenji’s most dependable lieutenants, Dr. Ashok Siddharth.
The wedding will take place on March 26 at a location, most likely in Noida. According to sources within the party, the wedding will be more of a private affair in keeping with party customs.

Who is Pragya Siddharth?
Pragya Siddharth is an Indian doctor. She has been in the news because she is going to marry BSP supremo Mayawatiโs nephew, Akash Anand.
She is the daughter of Ashok Siddharth, a politician who also practiced medicine before going into full-time politics. He decided to quit his job in 2008 to pursue full-timeย politics at Mayawati’s request, and Mayawati then handed him various significant roles inside the party.
In addition, Ashok Siddharth served as a Rajya Sabha member from 2016 to 2022 after serving as an MLC in 2009. Most recently, he was selected to guide the party in the Gujarat elections.
Soon, Pragya Siddharth will marry Akash Anand, a son of Mayawatiโs younger brother Anand Kumar. He was a Master of Business Administration (MBA) graduate from London. However, starting in 2017, he started participating in Indian politics after finishing his education.
He initially appeared alongside Mayawati during a Saharanpur rally. He was designated the party’s national coordinator by Mayawati in 2019.
