A glimpse into Krystal Cascetta’s professional life
Recognized for her work at the Mount Sinai Hospital as a Hematology-Oncology specialist, Dr. Cascetta carved a notable career in the medical field. Also a graduate from St. John’s University with a Bachelor of Science, she furthered her studies at Albany Medical College, earning her Doctor of Medicine (MD). She also pursued a Master’s degree at Cornell University.
Commencing her professional journey in 2009, Dr. Krystal Cascetta served as an Internal Medicine Resident at the Hofstra North Shore – LIJ School of Medicine. By 2012, she had joined the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, initially as a Hematology and Medical Oncology Fellow. Her dedication saw her rise to the position of Chief Hematology and Medical Oncology Fellow.
In 2015, Dr. Cascetta was appointed as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Mount Sinai Queens. Her role expanded as she became the Medical Director for the Mount Sinai Queens Infusion Center from 2020 to 2021 and later, the Site Chief from 2021 onwards.
