Shi Ming vs Xiaocan Feng

Though everyone was competing for the coveted title, Shi Ming had secured two decision wins en route to the final, however, her emphatic finish on Saturday bout left not a pinch of doubts about her potential.

Despite a notable reach disadvantage, Ming, fighting out of Kunming, Yunnan, displayed her remarkable striking ability. In the final minute of the 3rd round, she feinted a body attack before unleashing a vicious head kick that knocked Feng out cold.

The knockout was reminiscent of Leon Edwards’ iconic victory over Kamaru Usman. Feng was stretchered out of the octagon and transported to a hospital for evaluation.

Speaking to UFC Hall of Famer Michael Bisping after the fight, Ming expressed both joy and concern for her opponent.

What Did Shi Ming Say?

In her statement, Ming was heard saying, “I feel really happy, and I really hope she’s okay. I’ve shown I have knockout power and great wrestling.”

The brutal finish drew comparisons to some of the most memorable knockouts in UFC history. UFC commentator Laura Sanko dubbed Ming a “baby-faced assassin,” while Bisping described the finish as “phenomenal.”

Shi Ming who is the winner of Road to UFC 3 otherwise works as a doctor and despite being a TikTok sensation, her parents and colleagues have no idea of her MMA activity. Ming has won five straight fights and 11 of her last 12.

Xiaocan Feng’s Injury Update

As per reports, Feng had regained consciousness and she showed no serious injuries following her CT scan.
